Abstract: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) sponsors talented Chinese students for overseas study with the aim of improving the quality of postgraduate training and enhancing the development of China's higher education. From February 2022 to February 2023, Mr. Binbin Xu was a visiting student in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, The University of Nottingham, The UK, under the supervision of Prof. Zhirong Liao, sponsored by the CSC. This presentation provides a comprehensive report on Mr. Xu’s research work, focusing on the finite element simulation modeling and experimental analysis of laser-assisted machining, the establishment of a continuous chip analysis model, and the validation and construction of a constitutive model of titanium alloy considering phase transformation. Additionally, the report provides an introduction of the Machining and Condition Monitoring Research Group and offers insights into the cultural experience of the UK. This study reveals the mechanism of material removal and chip forming for laser-assisted machining, which lays a solid foundation for the application of this composite process.


摘要:中国国家留学基金管理委员会(CSC)致力于资助优秀的中国留学生到海外进行学习,旨在提高研究生培养质量并促进中国高等教育的发展。自20222月至20232月,徐斌斌博士(在读)CSC的资助下于英国诺丁汉大学加工和状态监测研究团队(The Machining and Condition Monitoring Research Group)作联合培养博士生开展学术交流,在Zhirong Liao教授的指导下从事研究工作。本汇报是徐斌斌博士联合培养期间研究工作的全面报告与总结,重点介绍了激光辅助加工的有限元仿真建模和实验分析、连续切屑解析模型的建立以及验证和考虑相变的钛合金材料本构模型构建。此外,报告还介绍了加工和状态监测研究团队,并将分享有关英国文化体验的见解。本研究揭示了激光辅助加工的材料去除和切屑成型机制,为该复合工艺的应用奠定了坚实的基础
